At Community Bible Church, we want you to feel welcome. We offer a wide range of classes and events for all ages, purposefully directed to meet the needs of each age group according to the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and that it holds the answers to all of life’s real questions. We seek to discover, to teach, and to live by the truth given to us by God in His Word.

Meet Our Staff
Pastor Jim Matson
Pastor Jim Matson grew up in Tampa, Florida where he met his wife Rachel at a young age. He and Rachel attended middle school and high school together before attending Bob Jones University in South Carolina. There, he graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in Bible. After graduating, Jim and Rachel were married and went on to minister in churches in Hawaii, Colorado, Florida, and Connecticut. During those years, they had two girls, Brooke and Nichole. In 1997, the Lord burdened their hearts for Jim to become Senior Pastor to a small body of believers in Indiana, who at the time only had a church name and checkbook and were meeting in a school classroom. After moving to Indiana, they had their third child, Austin. Over the years, Jim and Rachel have led the church through the purchase of land, two church building projects, and a renovation. They continue to serve our church family and surrounding community faithfully and effectively. During his down time, Jim enjoys making memories with his family, being outdoors doing a variety of activities, and spending time with people.
Pastor Matty Ledgerwood
Pastor Matty Ledgerwood was raised in Watertown, Wisconsin where he is one of eight siblings. He attended Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin and graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. He served on staff at Camp Ironwood in California for a few years before coming to intern at CBC in 2007. After the end of the formal internship, he continued serving in multiple capacities before taking the official role of Assistant Pastor in 2018. He married his wife, Michelle, in the fall of 2009 and they have since added Calin, Charlee, and Camille to their family. His primary focus of service in our church as Assistant Pastor is a part-time position as the head of music and teen ministry, where he oversees the overall direction, teaching, scheduling, and leadership of the teens and sponsors. Besides his work at church, his family, and their family business, Matty is passionate about Steelers football, peanut M&M’s, Sunday afternoon naps, and meaningful relationships.
Pastor Jon Bennett
Pastor Jon Bennett was born and raised in Flint, Michigan in a family of all boys. He attended Maranatha Bible University in Wisconsin where he met his wife Mandy. He graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in Biblical Studies, married Mandy, and served on staff on campus. Shortly thereafter, he met Matty and Michelle in 2011 at Camp CoBeAc in Michigan. Jon and Matty developed a friendship and later reconnected while Matty and Michelle were visiting family in Wisconsin. While there, Pastor Matty invited Jon and Mandy to visit our church, and in January of 2012 they came to see our ministry. By June of 2012, they decided to move and become part of our church family. Since then, they have had three boys: Chase, Owen, and Miles. He serves in our church as Assistant Pastor and head of the kids ministry. In addition to spending time with his wife and boys, he enjoys eating barbecue and Laffy Taffy, watching Michigan football, and working on things that go fast.
